ABOUT US

Looking back I can see how my journey has led me to CANADIAN BREHVE. I've always had a side hustle, and from the age of 7, I was determined to make a difference in this world. I remember creating a colorful little box and headed around the neighborhood to sell my art work. I was going to collect money for the Heart and Stroke Foundation...and I was all of $7 successful. I believed in me, not to mention, I come from a long line of brave warrior women.

My roots stem from this breathtaking land we call Canada. I am the granddaughter of BREHVE MABEL, who endured the challenges Residential School had to offer for 16 years.  A woman only known by the name written in her bible. A women who felt she never fit in due to circumstances of time. Despite this unforgiving time she believed in being thankful. A phrase she would used often was, "if it doesn't serve me, let it go". With this knowledge, she lived to what we believed was 100 years. She passed just before Christmas of 2019, just as Covid reared its ugly face. I am glad she didn’t have to endure anymore challenges in her long life. If you would like to know more about BREHVE MABEL you can hope over to her page under view all. More merchandise will begin to appear over time.

2020 came into our lives with a bang, leaving our family with one challenge after the other, and yet I had a knowing in my heart it was going to be okay. I knew my creative side would kick in, and I would find a way to get thru this.  With extra time on my hands, I would stay up late and watched our leaders night after night face our country with such bravery, strength and professionalism. I was proud of them, and I was proud to be Canadian at that time, but now not so sure. I was proud of my gramma who lived thru every decade never knowing what challenges she was going to face economically and emotionally as the world changed so quickly around her. It took COURAGE, STRENGTH AND WISDOM. She created her own path just as her mother did and as my mother did, and how I am now. With these emotions running thru my mind CANADIAN BREHVE came to mind and quickly to follow was BREHVE MABEL.

New ideas crowd my mind every second of my day. My original thought was to have the extra large letters EH made from twill (hockey jersey number material) and sewn onto the back of hoodies so onlookers could see it as you skied down some of the most amazing hills or shall I say mountains in Canada! Such a vision...but we need exposure first, and you can't get that from laying back on them lol  From there I contacted a friend for some help and it took off from there! I can't wait to share the new and upcoming products with you all...and I hope you find the courage, strength and wisdom to create your own path. We live in a stunningly beautiful country and Mother Earth is truly abundant with gifts for us all.
